The Southeast Texas Auto Theft Task Force (ATTF) is a multi-agency, multi-jurisdictional Task Force primarily focusing on thefts of vehicles and thefts from vehicles. The ATTF is partially funded by a grant provided by the Motor Vehicle Crime Prevention Authority.
The ATTF shares resources and designated personnel between Beaumont Police Department, Port Arthur Police Department, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, and Hardin County Sheriff’s Office. Each participating agency leads its own investigations within its respective jurisdiction while attempting to assist neighboring, non-participating agencies in a cooperative effort to combat automobile crimes within a four-county region that includes Jefferson, Hardin, Orange, and Jasper counties. By working together, sharing information on both prolific offenders and trends, and coordinating with other task forces in Texas, the Southeast Texas ATTF aims to serve in a manner designed to benefit our entire region.
